IBWZ – Millie Arnold

Meet Millie Arnold

Mother to little Silver, content creator and undeniable style queen.

This Mother's Day we joined Millie and Silver at home for a special In Bed With Zenn edition, celebrating the beauty of motherhood in its most intimate setting.

Millie shares a glimpse into the world she has created — one shaped by motherhood, personal style and the quiet rituals that bring a sense of calm to her everyday life.

We love following your mix of mum life and fashion on socials, how did it all begin?
It all started with my love for photography, which I studied at college in the UK. Whenever we had the freedom to shoot our own projects, I would always choose fashion photography. From there, I became super interested in the world of fashion and styling, which I guess has led me to where I am today. Now I get to shoot and style my bestie, and it’s just the best thing ever!

The transition to motherhood is unique for everyone. What's been your hardest and easiest change to make?
The hardest change for me has been experiencing mum guilt. Not just when I leave her with other people, but in the everyday moments when I’m with her — has she had enough playtime, enough fresh air, has she eaten well today, should I have let her do or not do certain things? It’s a constant worry that never really goes away… or so my mum tells me anyway!

The easiest change was realising I didn’t have to have everything figured out. You kind of learn as you go, and that’s been a lot more freeing than I expected.

What have you learnt from your mum that has shaped the way you approach motherhood?
My mum has always had the ability to stay so calm, and it’s something I’ve always admired. She is my role model and I dream of Silver and I having the same relationship that we have with each other.

How have your ideas of motherhood changed since you had your daughter?
It’s not as scary as everyone makes it out to be. Yes, it’s insanely tough and challenging, but your life isn’t over like a lot of people say it is. They become part of your dream, and you do it together.

How does your love of fashion shape your home aesthetic, and how has becoming a mum influenced the way you approach your style?
I have a pared-back approach to styling, and I think that comes through in our home too. I appreciate timeless, forever pieces and a less-is-more approach. I like my home and my style to feel calm and considered.

The 3 panel Isla Bedhead looks perfect in your bedroom. What shaped your decision when choosing this iconic Zenn bed design?
Our bedroom is quite small, so I wanted something that would make it feel bigger. I love how you can customise the panelling on the bed to create one big centre panel with the two overhanging wings, which adds depth to the room. The almond colour is timeless, and the alpaca fabric is so luxe!

What's your favourite thing to do with Silver?
Snuggles in the morning in our dreamy bed!

What are you loving about this age?
When she tries to say words, her new facial expressions and gestures — she copies everything we do!

What's one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I don’t have any family in Australia other than my sister. It’s tough, but it just makes seeing them extra special.

How do you take a mummy break?
Any form of self-care feels like a mummy break to me — a Pilates class, a nail appointment, a dinner with the girls.

Do you have an evening wind down ritual or have a process to help you achieve a sense of zenn?
It sounds so simple and very British of me, but you simply cannot beat a cup of tea before bed!

What's in the pipeline for you ? Anything exciting you can share?
I’m currently writing these answers on a flight to New York! I’m heading there with a friend to shoot some exciting projects.

Proudest mum moment?
I’m proud of her every single day. She makes so many people smile — she’s drawn to strangers, which I find so fascinating! She wants to connect with everybody around her, she’s a little social butterfly!
