About the Role

Zenn Design is looking for an experienced and design-driven Design Consultant to join our Melbourne showroom team.

This role is suited to someone with proven experience in interior design, furniture, homewares or luxury retail, who is confident working directly with clients and passionate about creating exceptional customer experiences. You'll guide clients through the design process, provide tailored product and fabric recommendations, prepare quotations, and help bring bespoke furniture projects to life.

We're looking for someone who is warm, highly organised, proactive and confident managing consultations independently, while also supporting the wider team during busy periods. This is an opportunity to become part of a growing Australian design brand where craftsmanship, quality and thoughtful design are at the centre of everything we do.

We are open to part or full time for the right person.

Salary will be negotiated based on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Client Consultations

• Manage showroom consultations from initial enquiry through to quotation.
• Provide expert advice on furniture, fabrics, finishes and custom design solutions.
• Build strong relationships with clients, designers and trade professionals.
• Follow up enquiries and guide clients through the purchasing process.

Sales & Administration

• Prepare quotations and process client orders accurately.
• Respond to email, phone and showroom enquiries in a timely manner.
• Coordinate fabric sample requests and client communications
• Maintain accurate client records and documentation.

Showroom Presentation

• Ensure the showroom is beautifully presented and reflects the Zenn aesthetic.
• Maintain fabric libraries, displays and merchandising standards.
• Support seasonal showroom updates and product launches.

Team Support

• Work collaboratively with the operations and production teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Assist with general showroom operations and administrative tasks as required.
• Be proactive, adaptable and willing to support wherever needed.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience in interior design, furniture, homewares or luxury retail is essential.
• Confident managing client consultations independently.
• Strong understanding of furniture, fabrics and interior styling.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
• Experience preparing quotations and managing sales enquiries.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in email and administrative systems.
• Current driver's licence and reliable vehicle.
