About the Role

We are excited to be offering an opportunity to join our Zenn Showroom Team. 

This role is for a motivated and design-savvy Assistant Showroom Consultant to join us on a casual contract until the end of the year, supporting our team through our busiest period. There is potential scope for the role to extend beyond this and potentially become permanent.

The position is ideal for someone with experience in interiors, homewares, or lifestyle retail who is passionate about design and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

As an Assistant Showroom Consultant, you will provide vital support to our Senior Design Consultants and ensure our showroom consistently reflects Zenn’s elevated brand aesthetic. You will initially shadow during design consultations, with the opportunity to progress to managing consultations independently. We’re also looking for someone who is flexible and adaptable with tasks, comfortable stepping in wherever support is required. Salary is negotiable and will reflect the skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities

Consultation Support

  • Assist Design Consultants during client consultations (shadowing initially, with progression to independent management).

  • Provide product knowledge and advice tailored to client needs.

Showroom Presentation

  • Maintain showroom presentation daily to ensure it is styled and prepared to welcome clients.

  • Uphold Zenn’s design standards across displays and fabric libraries.

Operational Support

  • Assist with quoting and responding to email and phone enquiries.

  • Manage fabric sample requests and dispatches.

  • Support consultants with client follow-ups, documentation and administrative tasks.

  • Be attentive, proactive and flexible in responding to the broader needs of the showroom and office.

Skills & Experiences

  • Previous experience in a showroom, interiors, homewares or lifestyle environment preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first approach.

  • Organised, proactive and detail-oriented with the ability to multitask.

  • Flexible and adaptable, willing to take on varied tasks as needed.

  • A keen interest in interior design, fabrics and furnishings.

  • Competency in quoting, email management and general administrative tasks.

  • Must have a valid driver's license and car.
