Sydney Design Consultant (Full-Time)

We have an exciting newly created role for a dynamic and experienced Design Consultant to join our team, based in Sydney. As a Design Consultant, you will play a key role in providing personalised design solutions to our clients, leveraging your expertise in the Sydney Design Community and your deep understanding of high-end furniture, fabrics, and window furnishings. You are customer focused and love to provide exceptional client experiences and service well above and beyond expectations. No two days will be the same and you will frequently be out and about committed to nurturing our Client’s project needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relationship Management: Nurture and maintain relationships with existing clients, providing ongoing support and fit for purpose for Client and Designer Projects. 
  2. New Client Acquisition: Identify and pursue opportunities to expand our client base by proactively engaging with potential clients and designers. Utilise your knowledge of the Sydney Design Community to network effectively and build effective partnerships.
  3. Consultative Selling: Serve as a trusted advisor to clients, understanding their preferences, project brief, purpose, and aesthetic preferences to provide tailored design solutions. Showcase our range of products, fabrics and services, highlighting their features and benefits in alignment with client needs.
  4. Product Knowledge: Demonstrate a passionate understanding of our highly crafted product offerings, including manufacturing methods, fabrics and window furnishings. Stay updated on industry trends, new arrivals, and product specifications to provide accurate and informed recommendations to clients.
  5. Project Coordination: Collaborate with the internal team including to coordinate timely and accurate information of design projects from inception to completion. Ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
  6. Admin: Complete required administrative tasks related to client management, preparing quotes and processing orders with accuracy and efficiency. 
  7. Team: Champion a fun, creative and team oriented environment!

What we’re looking for:

  • Proven experience as a Design Consultant or similar role in the Sydney Design Community.
  • Strong understanding of high-end furniture, fabrics, and window furnishings.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to build rapport and establish meaningful relationships with clients.
  • Proactive attitude with a passion for delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Be a team player.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
