The New York Collection
We loved working with Bec Judd to bring her bedroom design goals to life with The New York Collection. Together, we curated The Loft fully upholstered bed design that reflects Bec’s refined taste, combined with Zenn’s signature minimalistic, tonal aesthetic.
The Loft Fully Upholstered Bed features a striking oversized bedhead paired with a bespoke, intricately detailed floor bed frame design to create a stunning ensemble. Crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this bed design exudes opulence and sophistication. Designed with convenience in mind, the Loft Bedhead is crafted in three parts to enhance detail and facilitate easy transportation and placement. Featuring horizontal deep fluted bolster rolls extending to the floor, it adds a touch of elegance to your space. Panel 1 and 3 are strategically designed to accommodate side tables in front, ensuring a perfect fit. Additionally, a seamless flat section upholstered behind the mattress section allows for a seamless integration with the bed ensemble
Each Loft bed includes a standard centre cutout, allowing convenient access to power points and other fixtures, as well as a split batten for optional wall mounting. Suitable in textured or heavy upholstery fabrics and offered in two popular sizes (Please feel free to get in touch to discuss fabrics prior to purchase orders@zenndesign.com.au):
- Oversize Queen – 3100mm width x 1120mm height – 3 panels 750/1600/750 | 7 horizontal bolsters.(Flexible sizing available up to 3700mm width if required).
- Oversized King – 3400mm width x 1120mm height – 3 panels 750/1900/750 | 7 horizontal bolsters.(Flexible sizing available up to 4000mm width if required.)

Each Zenn Design Bed is handcrafted in our Melbourne workshop, Made Strong and Made to last. We can customise your bed design to any fabric selection, size, and detail to fit your exact requirements. If you would like a custom bed in another size or fabric that is not listed on this page, please get in touch with us via our contact page.
Lead times typically range from 4 to 6 weeks; feel free to contact our team for confirmation.
Fully Upholstered Bed Sizing
Our upholstered bed frames are made to accommodate mattress measurements that are standard in the industry as listed below. The finished width of the bed finishes at the below bedhead measurements.
Width of Fully Upholstered Bed Frames
- Single – 920mm width x 1880mm length
- King Single – 1070mm width x 2030mm length
- Double – 1380mm width x 1880mm length
- Queen – 1530mm width x 2030mm length
- King – 1830mm width x 2030mm length
- Super King – 2040mm width x 2030mm length
Floating Bed Frame Specs and Measurements:
- Height of bedhead: 1200mm (Can be customised to other sizes)
- Height of upholstered frame: 160mm (Can be customised to other sizes)
- Mattress recessed into frame: 30mm
- Height of leg: 140mm (Can be customised to other sizes)
- Distance between timber slats: 90mm with a central beam on king size for extra support.
Base to Floor Bed Frame Specs and Measurements:
- Height of bedhead: 1200mm (Can be customised to other sizes)
- Height of upholstered frame/side rails: 260-300mm (Can be customised to other sizes)
- Mattress recessed into frame: 30mm
- Distance between timber slats: 90mm with a central beam on King size for extra support.
Bedhead Size Chart:
Zenn Design Bedheads are all made slightly larger to allow for the additional width of a blanket. Please get in touch if you require a customised height or width with this bed design or you would like custom GPO cut-outs/ Light fixture cut-outs or any other customised changes. We’d love to help!

If special pricing is needed for your order, Zenn Design will source a shipping quote for you through our reliable preferred freight providers. We will then contact you via email or phone to confirm the details further.

Our value for quality, is carried from frame construction through to finish and is expressed through the materials we use. Each piece carries skilled Australian craftsmanship, made by hand. Made strong and made to last from the highest quality materials to ensure years of enjoyment. Every bed/ bedhead comes with a 5-year structural warranty, made to order with a 4-6 week lead time once your order is placed. However in busier times these can extend to 6-8 weeks. Please get in touch to check lead times prior to ordering.
